I GOT A NEW JOB!

Months and months i have been looking for a new job as a phlebotomist, well since that wasn't going so well for me i stopped looking for that and i just wanted anything in an doctor office thinking that i can move up. I've called a lot of places and nothing, finally i called Ventura Orthopedics. The girl on the other line said that they weren't hiring for a receptionist but was looking for a Physical Therapy Aide, i told her that i don't know anything about that and if that doesn't matter than yes i would love to look into it. So the next day i went and handed in my resume and had a 15 minute interview and was told that she'll call me the beginning of next week. I got a call on Tuesday and they told me that they would like me to come in for a second interview i was screaming up and down i was soo excited. So Wednesday i went in and 30 minutes later i had a new job! FUll TIME Monday-Friday!!! NORMAL HOURS and WEEKENDS OFF! i haven't had that EVER!! I start on Wednesday the 27th so soon! Tonight I'm at work in Camarillo and have been telling my residents that i will be leaving on the First and they get soo SAD it makes me sad but i have learned SO Much here being in the mental health field has been so amazing and i look at people with a mental illness different rather them just being "crazy". I am so exited about starting a new job and i cant wait to learn!!!!

Road Trip!!!

Meg and I wanted to have a sister road trip. What a perfect time for Kelli to get married! Plus Megan wants to move up there so she checked it out and loved it! First we drove up Wednesday and stayed with Jessica in Vegas which was a lot of fun. We ate at Toby Keith restaurant it was so good! then next morning we went to Paris and had some crepe's which were so yummy! we got to Provo Thursday evening. Friday we drove around town so Meg was able to look at everything. Saturday was Kelli's wedding. We went to her luncheon that it was at this farm thing but it was so beautiful! She was beautiful! We reception was so pretty it didn't even look like it was at the church beside the floors! Chelsea and Dave came down from Idaho and it was so great to see them. Chelsea and Meg and I went to dinner Friday night and talked about everything we haven't seen each other since she got married 9 months ago. It was great to see everyone! Congrats to Kelli and Tj! Love you Both!

Los Angles Zoo

Megan and I wanted to have a sister day so we went to the Los Angles Zoo! So much fun. We haven't been here in yearsss!!!! So it was nice to go back. The weather was so hot I'm thinking in the high 90's! When we got to the Camel it was Megan's idea to make it look like we were kissing it! Very funny! This gorilla was HUGE i couldn't believe it! I was scared to sit that close to it even if that glass was there. At one point it stood up and hit the glass with it's hand and ran away! Scary!!! But it was a great day we had a blast!

April 4th Josh and I went to go play a softball game with his old roommate family for the 1 year anniversary of there brother Stuart death. This is everyone who played!!! But i don't know who won or lost, we got hungry in the middle of the game and we started to eat and never really finished the game! It was a great day! Valentines Day.

For Valentines Day Josh and I went with some of our friends to the Laugh Factory. It was only $35 for VIP. Which included no wait outside to get in and sits close to the stage. Our sits were great! We were in the 2 row! The people that were there weren't that famous but really funny!!! Before the show started we had time to spare. We found a Saddle Ranch up the street that we all went to eat at. Josh and I knew he was spending alot of money so we got some chicken strips and something else cant remember but that totally fill us up!! When it says no waiting.... we waited, but not long at all. We saw about 5 people that had like a 15 minutes show. The last guy was so funny i couldn't stop laughing. I was so scared on them picking on me! BUT they didn't i would of turned red and I'm sure they would of started making fun of that! Overall it was a great night. Kinda boreding with our friends they were boreding and didn't talk to any of us or each other (really weird)!!!! Josh and I had a blast! Our other friends went to the showing after us and they only paid 10 dollars more for a "special guest" it was DANE COOK. Somewhat jealous but he kinda bugs me. He makes joke about some things that shouldn't be made fun of. So it wasn't really a big deal!!!!!! It was a great night Josh and I had a blast!

My two week Internship at Kaiser.....

Kaiser.... It was fun and i learned alot of new ways to draw blood. I was there from 9-5 Monday - Friday. I only did out patient. I wish i had the chance to go in the In patient but i didn't. It's alot harder doing in patient because they are on all sort of medications swollen and cranky etc... I've come to learn that i don't like the people who are getting there blood drawn to watch me, they make me nervous. Every time i saw them looking i always said "Your not scared of needles" they would then look up at me and i would do it then! Sneeky Ha through out the week i didn't mind so much if the patient watch i got use to it which is a good thing. I meet some really funny people. This one guy KNEW CLINT EASTWOOD!!!!!!!! Now that I've seen Grand Torino i fell in love with Clint Eastwood. So we talked about him for a good hour almost which made my day!!! Doing this help me so much, in school i was so upset if i missed a vein but i wasn't skilled enough to go get it if it had rolled! I missed on people its not a bad thing the staff missed on them. but i know how to angle the needle to go find it! Sounds SOOO gross but once they said ouch i pulled out. I don't want to be that girl who kept "fishing". NO Way I haven't drawn in 2 weeks and i miss it so much. Megan is in class now for it and our teacher said that we can go to class and draw on the new students but the students are aloud to draw on us too!!!! This is my lovely name badge i had to wear! BUT i turned it around so that the patients didn't know i was a student. they got all crazy and refused to have a student draw on them! All and All it was a good thing. I learned new things and had a FUN. NOW i wait til i get my license then i start applying to places :)

Saturday morning i had my BIG national test. I have been studying like no other!!! It was very scary, if i didn't pass it i would of have to waited 3 months before i could retake it. It was 143 questions and i had 2hrs and 20min to take it. I kept looking at the time to see how long i had left! Finally i finished after 1hr 30mins. I called my teacher over and the hole time that she was typing in her code i was sweaty and shaky and everything else that comes with nerves. Then i saw my score.... which isn't really a score it's a Pass or Fail. Then i saw it I PASSED i was so happy and trying to hold back tears because i was so nervous. My mom took it as well and she passed as well!!! NOW all i have to do it do my internship at Kaiser February 2nd - the 13th the requirement is to have 300 draws that wont be hard its a super busy hospital. The hard part is waiting for paper work that takes forever then all that paperwork is sent to state and then 2-3 weeks later they send me my LICENSES :) so start looking out for me when you go get your blood drawn!!!!!

Happy Birthday To ME!!! For my birthday all my friends and some of my family we went to Bj's. Which was a BLAST! I didn't care were we went but Josh wanted to take me to somewhere where we have never been before at least not together. Over all it was a great night, from Bj's we went to Crown and Anchor and didn't get in cause it was so crowded then we ended up back in Simi at Friday's.

Twilight The Movie

Thursday at 12:10am the movie started. The theater was packed! I went with Megan, mom and Megan's two friends Jeanine and Roxanne we had to go out to Camarillo to go see it, at the Regal it was sold out. Which was nice for me because I was working that night so I didn't have to leave work early since I got off at 11:30. They went at 7:00pm to go wait in line. When they got there there was only probably 5 other people there!!! I went on my break to go visit them! I'm so glad I didn't have to wait with them! So the movie went by the book. I thought it was so good. And Edward WOW you fall in love with him in the book but watching him is just falling in love with him over and over again! He is everywhere my phone my computers work and home! He is just so cute! The movie was so good Megan and I are going to see it on Tuesday again. Go see it NOW IT'S SO GOOD!!!!

I have taken up Phlebotomy!!!! My class started on the 10th of this month!!! I'll graduate on January 28th :) I have to do a 80 hour internship at Kaiser in Woodland Hills starting sometime in February!!! I'm so excited!!! So who ever needs blood drawn come my WAY!!! I just started and I'm already drawing blood next WEDNESDAY!!! Creepy. My class is small and alot of fun so.... far! My teacher is so funny! What I am very excited for is to wear scrubs!!!Theses aren't mind but i did get this color and in Olive color :) Once i get mind I'll model them for you all! Wish me Luck!!!

My Sick Heart

So... pretty much my heart is just due to stress. I'm only 20 years old but yes stress. If you came to my work just one of my shifts you would understand why I'm getting stress! IT'S A HARD JOB but yet i do love it but ITS A HARD JOB I deal with resident my age range and its hard to help them when they don't even want to get help. I'm a mother a maid a nurse a babysitter a counselor and the cook ALL in ONE shift i do this all.... whatever i do love it my heart just cant take it. Hence i was at work until 2:30am in the morning last night!!! I worked 12 hours with no break!!! BUT my doctor told me i need to get a new job!!! So the job search beings!!! But over all my heart is fine. It hurts but it goes away!!!

I go in on Friday to see if i have a Heart problem.... my heart isn't right for the pass week it pumps super fast then goes back to normal!!! Friday i go in and get an Echo test... that's pretty cool I'll get to see my heart!!! I'm looking forward to that, but i don't think anything is seriously wrong with me i just have an irregular heart!!! HA ( i have high hopes) Plus I'm 20 years old how bad could my heart be....

Kings River is so much fun. Every year for the past 2 years i go with Josh and all of his friends and family. It's up in Reedley, CA. It's right before Fresno so it's pretty far away. It's so much fun this year we have alot of people coming in memorial of our friend Stuart who passed away this pass April so it's going to be sad but so much fun I can't wait. We float down the river all day long. Luckily there is a road right next to the camp site and we can take a 2 min drive to go get some food which is pretty sweet. I went to the beach on Thursday the 10th!! Let me tell you it was so much fun!!! I went with Dave (at top) Eric (at bottom) and more people i just like them more ha!!!! But we went to the beach it was cold and over cast which was pretty lame but whateve that didn't ruin our fun!!! We BBQ chicken that i didn't eat but it did look good. After the beach we ended at Dave's house playing Wii that i suck at!!! I lost bad time to Eric (in the middle) playing baseball but i had an excuse... that I'm not saying why HA!!! But over all great day i want to do it at least once a week!!!

So... this is my lovly boyfriend Josh. We have been dating for a little more than 2 years now. We meet through some friend my friend like his friend and his friend like my friend so... here we are 2 years later still together unlike them :) But Josh and i knew each other kinda in elem. school his sister Michelle "played" with Jessica and our parents remember each other but not us. When Josh first picked me up from my house he walks in very nervous and my mom asked him if he was any sisters and he's like "ah.. i think so." My mom like you do or you don't and he's like "oh yea i do" my asked if one was name Michelle and he said yes .... blah blah Jessica and Michelle hung out together in elem. school!!! Josh is a machinist... welder dude that gets VERY VERY DIRTY he's black when he comes home!!! I will not wear white around him if i see him right after work he will hug me and get me all nasty!!
